Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams to design and develop efficient web applications
Participate in requirements analysis and estimation to advise team of best options to deliver solutions effectively
Ability to read, understand, and improve existing code
Write clean, scalable code using JavaScript and .NET programming languages in adherence with iPipeline development standards and security policies
UI design, development, and unit testing using iPipeline proprietary tools
Create/maintain XML configuration files
Source control management using GITHUB for project setup and deployments.
Understand the intent and priorities behind the changes to business requirements.
Identify coding changes and corresponding constraint engine changes.
Create and maintain technical design documents.
Provide guidance to customers on critical technical decisions
Conduct peer code reviews and evaluate risks
Review application performance and optimize
Train and mentor new hires and peers
Support of evening and/or weekend deployments may be required.
Skills Requirements:
Excellent coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks within tight timelines and budget constraints
Ability to collaborate with co-workers and customers in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills for internal and customer communication.
Strong troubleshooting skills and resourcefulness to triage issues using different tools and drive things to resolution.
Analytical skills to comprehend requirements and make recommendations for design improvements.
Familiarity/experience with AGILE methodology
4 years of relevant experience
Technical Knowledge Requirements:
Strong understanding of web application development using .NET technologies including IIS
Experience with .NET based web service design and development
Experience with Javascript client-side development
Advanced understanding of database design and querying using SQL Server
Advanced XSL design, development and debugging
Ability to challenge business rules for optimal solutions
Basic understanding of Insurance Industry and Products a plus
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
